Its defining picture postcard image is the towering twin peaks of the Pitons, rising sheer from the sparkling waters south of beautiful Marigot Bay. In the shadow of these volcanic sentinels lie tracts of rainforest populated by brightly coloured birds, and this amazingly fertile island now exports bananas in place of the coffee and cocoa of colonial days. The coastline is rich in breathtakingly beautiful anchorages and some fine beaches, and there’s a well-equipped marina in lovely Rodney Bay. For some challenging sailing, head north to Martinique or south to the Grenadines – or just ‘go with the flow’ as you explore the many delights of laid-back St Lucia.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
