Yacht comes to rescue of dog after cliff fall
Aug 13th, 2009
A dog which defied the odds after a 100ft cliff fall has been rescued by a yacht. After chasing a rabbit, cocker spaniel Buddy fell from the clifftop into the sea at Studland Bay, Dorset.
He clambered part way up the rocks before once again plummeting into the water and paddling in the sea.
Fortunately, a yachter spotted Buddy and pulled him onboard his vessel, by which time he was almost a mile from the shoreline.
The animal's owner Steve Kingsley told the Guardian: "I went down there for a nice stress-free day and came out a nervous wreck. He is a lucky boy.
"It was a miracle he survived. When I looked over the cliff at the 100ft drop I thought his time was up and then after two hours missing he was half a mile out to sea. We were very lucky he survived that."

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
