RNLI fundraising for new Mumbles vessel

A father who tragically lost his son after a boating accident has launched a campaign to raise money for a new lifeboat.Steve Wood lost his 17-year-old son in a fishing accident in 2004, after his boat capsized.
The RNLI were involved in the search for his son and he is now helping the lifeboat service in West Glamorgan, Wales to raise the requisite £2.7 million for a state-of-the-art addition to the fleet.
Rob Tovey, Mumbles lifeboat second coxswain, spoke of the comparison between the new vessel and on older version.
He said: "It's like comparing a steam train with a bullet train," according to thisissouthwales.co.uk.
"It's a lot faster, has a lot more technology on it, and will get us to incidents much more quickly. It will make a big, big difference," he added.
He went on to note that the new Tamar-class vessel would ensure a lifeboat service for the area "for the next 30 years".

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
