RYA Sailability Multi Class Regatta toasted as a successThe latest annual Royal Yachting Association (RYA) Sailability Multi Class Regatta took place last weekend (August 14th to 16th) and has been heralded as a triumph by the organisation.

The regatta, which aims to bring together disabled and able bodied sailors, welcomed 94 yachtsmen and women from all around the UK to Rutland Water.

Eight classes of boat were in competition at the event including Artemis and Challenger vessels and Keith Harris, a sailor who operates his yacht using only his tongue, spoke to the RYA about his experience on the day.

He said: "It was extremely windy out there but good fun.

"The regatta is such a great event [because] it gives you the opportunity to race, see other classes; I've never seen an Artemis before and now I want to have a go, as well as being a great social event."

The RYA Sailability programme has enabled more than 20,000 disabled sailors from the UK to participate alongside able bodied racers.

Yacht Testimonials
"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.

Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
