Luxury yacht thief caught

A French military deserter has been caught after embarking on a thievery tour involving luxury yachts.Operating in some of the most glamorous yacht charter destinations around France, including Cannes and the Cote d'Azur, the soldier employed his sailing skills he learned as a boy in Polynesia, reports the Guardian.
During his crime spree, the 21-year-old, who has not been named, made off with a £21 million 83- footer and a Claro seven worth three million euros from Cannes.
Toulon maritime police office Joel Gilson told the newspaper: "He told us he just wanted to have fun, to set sail on some big yachts.
"He already had a certain knowledge [of boats] because his uncle had taught him when he was very young."
Police finally apprehended the maritime villain in St Tropez.
France has long been associated with the glamorous world of yacht charters with a multitude of celebrity yachters being spotted during the Cannes Film Festival and Monaco Grand Prix.
