Moscow set to welcome yachters

The Burevestnik Boat Show in Moscow, Russia gets underway today (September 4th) and will unite fans of luxury yachts in the city.Since the fall of communism in Russia, yachts have become one of the symbolic images of wealth and success and the event will doubtlessly draw the business elite to the area.
Around 10,000 maritime fans are expected to make the trip to the event and many of the vessels on show will be available for test sails, according to RT.
Among the internationally renowned boat-builders that will be exhibiting at the show are Sunseeker, Riva and Fairline.
Those who want to sample the delights of the newest yachts on offer without travelling too far may want to head to the Southampton Boat Show, which begins on September 11th.
Among the highlights of the show will be the unveiling of the Series 2000 M94 powerboat and a star turn from singer Sophie Ellis Bextor.
