Chris Draper hoping to compete in 2012 OlympicsProfessional sailor Chris Draper has revealed that he will be attempting to compete in the London Olympics in 2012.

Draper will be partnered by Peter Greenhalgh as he aims to secure a place in the double handed dinghy (49er) class.

Speaking about his latest attempt, the Bronze medal winner said: "The fact that we're heading for a home Olympics has been a huge factor.

"You have to give it a shot or risk looking back in a few years' time and wondering what might have been."

Draper also explained why he felt he did not make it to the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

"I looked back in the middle of last year and realised that I'd perhaps not given it my all," the sportsman added.ADNFCR-2431-ID-19239055-ADNFCR

Yacht Testimonials
"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.

Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
