Caribbean yacht charter guests could check out underwater museum

Caribbean yacht charter guests could check out underwater museumCaribbean yacht charter customers may wish to take their snorkelling adventures to the next level by visiting a new attraction.

Work to create Mexico's Subaquatic Sculpture Museum is set to begin next month, which will see around 400 artworks placed underwater near the Yucatan Peninsular.

The move is designed to divert visitors from the natural reefs in West Coast National Park, which have become damaged due to the impact of tourism.

Park director Jaime Gonzalez explained that inexperienced divers often accidentally break pieces of the coral and that the museum will help give them a chance to recover.

"By becoming healthier, the coral reefs will be more resistant to hurricane damage," he added.

The work will be overseen by underwater artist Jason de Caires Taylor - creator of the West Indies' underwater sculpture park, which may also interest those on a Caribbean yacht charter.

Brits planning such a voyage may be interested in making it aboard El Capi III - a 62-ft catamaran from Sunreef, capable of sleeping up to eight guests and two crew.

Yacht Testimonials
"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.

Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
