Clipper yacht race round two finishes earlyThe second round of the Clipper Round-the-World Yacht Race has been completed, with Team Finland taking first place.

It was followed by Spirit of Australia and Jamaica Lighting Bolt, which made up the top three teams in the race from La Rochelle, France, to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

Other boats to cross the finish line before the official end to the round at 12:00 GMT yesterday (October 21st) were Cape Breton Island and Cork, Ireland.

Those who had not yet finished the course were awarded a position based on their distance from their Brazilian goal.

Race three is due to begin on October 27th and the second leg was ended early to allow crews to prepare properly for their next voyage, which will take them to Cape Town, South Africa.

Those wishing to charter a yacht of their own for a more relaxing trip may elect for Diamond Girl II - a 62-ft sailboat capable of sleeping up to eight guests in a luxury setting.

Vessels such as this are ideal for cruising the Caribbean, where trade winds can carry passengers to tropical paradises such as the Virgin Islands.

Yacht Testimonials
"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.

Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
