Aruba to become top sport fishing destination
Oct 23rd, 2009
Luxury yacht charters give holidaymakers the chance to relax as they cruise the Caribbean, while still having the option of participating in a range of thrilling activities.Aside from its wonderful climate and beautiful scenery, the island of Aruba is set to become one of the best sport fishing destinations in the archipelago, according to Sport Fishing magazine.
The nation will host next year's Presidential Caribbean Cup - the first time it has held an international billfishing competition.
"For years, the area's marlin fishery has been somewhat unknown just because there haven't been many boats fishing specifically for billfish," tournament coordinator Joan Vernon told the publication.
He added that a number of captains have reported "excellent fishing" in the area.
The competition is tentatively scheduled for October 2010, but those wishing to get in ahead of the crowds could do so by chartering a luxury yacht, such as Sea-Bass.
The 70-ft motor yacht has its own Jacuzzi on the flydeck, as well as a home cinema to keep non-fishing fans entertained.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
