Operators increase Caribbean flights
Oct 26th, 2009
A national newspaper has noted that, even though many travel operators are cutting the number of routes offered, some are increasing flights to the Caribbean. The Daily Mail pointed out that British Airways' bi-weekly service from the UK to the Dominican Republic begins today (October 26th).
Passengers can fly from Gatwick to Punta Cana using the first direct scheduled service from Britain.
The flights will also stop off in Antigua - a destination popular with yacht charter customers.
Those planning on sailing around the Caribbean this winter may wish to do so aboard the uniquely-styled Tahaa-II.
The 62-ft Sunreef sloop comes with two crew members and sleeps up to eight guests,
Its white, black and orange interior gives the impression of a floating boutique hotel, while a 60hp Suzuki dinghy and waterskiing equipment should help keep holidaymakers busy.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
