Aruba investing in tourism

Oct 26th, 2009
Aruba investing in tourismThe Caribbean island of Aruba has stepped up its drive to attract tourists in recent years.

According to the Washington Post, it has invested heavily in the industry, with new hotels and facilities earmarked for completion over the next three years.

A new Cuban jazz club called Mr Jazz and Morgan's Island water park are just two of the new additions making the island more appealing.

Aruba Tourism Authority UK director Anna Walding explained there has been a rise in the number of cruise passengers heading to the Dutch Caribbean destination.

"The feedback we have from British cruise visitors about the island has always been very enthusiastic - a lot of them tell us that they loved their taste of Aruba and look forward to returning for a longer holiday," she revealed.

Those wishing to sail around the Caribbean in private may decide to charter a private yacht such as the 70-ft Damrak.

The vessel sleeps up to eight and comes with a crew of three to make the trip one to remember.

Yacht Testimonials
"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.

Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
