Oct 30th, 2009
The Caribbean island of Barbados is set to host the International Cricket Council (ICC) and the regional project team for the West Indies-based 2010 World Twenty20 competition this weekend.A cocktail reception will take place at Kensington Oval on Saturday (October 31st), allowing delegates to discuss next year's tournament.
The World Twenty20 has never been held in the Caribbean and is likely to cause interest in the destination over the coming year.
"We are looking forward to showcasing what West Indians and other cricket fans around the world can expect come next May," explained the tournament's corporate communications manager Gayle Alleyne.
Those planning a trip to the archipelago could charter a luxury yacht for the duration of the tournament to enable them to enjoy the cricket in style.
The 62-ft catamaran Catsy could offer ideal accommodation for up to eight guests, while its two crew members can make life easy by transporting passengers around the Caribbean islands.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
