Colchester celebrates Caribbean culture

Colchester celebrates Caribbean cultureResidents in Colchester were recently given a taste of the exotic in an African-Caribbean-themed family fun day.

According to the Daily Gazette, the town was treated to music, food and fashion from a local cultural community group.

Designed to coincide with Black History Month, the event was aimed at allowing residents to get to know other people in the community.

"The African-Caribbean community in Colchester is certainly growing," explained Dominic Bascombe - a spokesman for the community group.

"A lot is to do with the university and the army - and there are a lot of people working in London who commute from Colchester."

Brits who would rather sample the delights of the Caribbean in person could spend a week aboard the luxury charter yacht Matelot, which can sleep up to six guests and three crew members.

The stylish sailing vessel is blessed with an opulent interior, while there is plenty of room above deck for sunbathing and sightseeing.

Yacht Testimonials
"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.

Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
