Sustainability 'should be through choice'

The Co-Operative Travel has suggested that travel companies should work together to take a common approach to battling climate change.Managing director Mike Greenacre explained that sustainability had to be a choice - not something that was imposed.
"It has got to be something where a company takes the lead to partner with major organisations to help develop a common approach to sustainability and climate change and still allows individual companies to make their own contribution," he said.
The comments come after ABTA - The Travel Association revealed its Tourism 2023 Vision idea, which brings firms together and is aimed at creating a sustainable industry.
British Airways, Carnival UK, The Co-Operative Travel and Thomas Cook are among the founding partners of the scheme.
Brits heading to the Caribbean on holiday could play their part for sustainability by choosing a sailing vessel from the range of luxury yacht charters available.
The 72-ft Cookielicious is one example and can sleep up to six guests in three spacious cabins.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
