Caribbean set to be popular this winter

As well as offering sun, sea and sand, the group of islands also has a favourable exchange rate, which travel firm On the Beach feels will be a major factor in its popularity among UK travellers.Figures from the firm show that bookings for the tropical archipelago are up by 16 per cent in 2009 and marketing director Alistair Daly believes this trend will continue over the coming months.
"With glorious weather, beautiful beaches and warm waters, it's easy to see why the islands of the Caribbean are a very popular destination for those trying to escape cold winters back in Britain," he said.
His comments follow the publication of figures from the Post Office, which show a 70 per cent rise in sales of east Caribbean dollars last month.
Meanwhile, Hayes & Jarvis - a firm specialising in long-haul travel - noted that holidaymakers are likely to be drawn to the islands by the favourable exchange rate.
Aside from the numerous accommodation options of individual islands, those wanting to see the archipelago in style could charter a luxury yacht.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
