Monte Carlo gearing up for Monaco GP 2010
Nov 20th, 2009
Formula One fans may wish to put the weekend of May 14th to 16th 2010 in their diaries as this will see one of the most prestigious races of the year take place. The Formula One Grand Prix de Monaco has long been a great place to be seen and provides an excellent opportunity for luxury private yacht charter customers to mingle with celebrities as they enjoy the racing and other pleasures of Monte Carlo.
It may hold special memories for those who attended the 2009 instalment of the race, which saw British driver Jenson Button scoop ten points for first place, finishing 7.6 seconds ahead of Brawn GP team-mate Rubens Barrichello.
Button went on to secure the drivers' title five months later after finishing fifth at Interlagos, Brazil.
The 78-lap Monaco Grand Prix sees the cars cover a total distance of 260.52km, with the current lap record - 1:14.439 - set by the legendary Michael Schumacher in 2004.
Sadly, the German is unlikely to be racing at the 2010 event after his proposed comeback earlier this year was halted by injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
