Largest ever cruise ship docks in yacht charter destination

Largest ever cruise ship docks in yacht charter destinationThe largest cruise ship ever to take to the seas has docked in the popular luxury yacht charter destination of St Thomas in the Caribbean.

Oasis of the Seas arrived in Crown Bay on Tuesday (December 8th) for the first of what Royal Caribbean hopes will be many visits.

Boasting 16 passenger decks, the 1,187-ft long vessel required the port in The Netherlands Antilles - which is due north of Mexico - to be dredged in preparation for its arrival.

However, the Daily Herald revealed that the ship still managed to churn up some silt on the bay's floor, while a problem with the gangway delayed passengers for an hour.

According to the newspaper, the platform was too short to reach to the dock and required some last-minute adjustments.

Those who would rather avoid the crowds of such behemoths could instead indulge in a luxury yacht charter aboard the RM Elegant - an opulent super yacht capable of sleeping 30 guests and 30 crew members.

Yacht Testimonials
"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.

Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
