Drama as crewman jumps from Caribbean cruise shipA drama has unfolded off the coast of Florida, US, after a crewman on a cruise ship returning from a popular luxury yacht charter destination jumped overboard.

Robert Mado - an assistant purser on Royal Caribbean Cruises' Majesty of the Seas - reportedly jumped overboard at approximately 04:30 local time.

The incident was witnessed by fellow crew members and the captain immediately turned the ship around, marking its position by GPS and informing the coast guard, who proceeded to rescue Mr Mado.

He was picked up around two hours after jumping into the sea and has been taken to hospital for evaluation, although the firm explained he appeared to be in good shape.

The ship was returning from a four-day trip to the Bahamas - a popular stop-off point for those on a luxury yacht charter holiday.

The Bahamas also recently hosted its International Film Festival, at which Johnny Depp received a lifetime achievement award.

Yacht Testimonials
"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.

Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
