Luxury yacht charter customers could be hit by BA strike

Luxury yacht charter customers could be hit by BA strikeThose heading off on a luxury yacht charter vacation over the Christmas break could be affected by the decision of British Airways (BA) staff to go on strike.

The carrier offers a number of routes to the Caribbean and could throw people's plans into disarray due to the limited number of alternatives.

According to AITO, the BA cabin crew strike announced on Monday (December 14th) could severely disrupt many families' plans.

Chairman of the AITO aviation committee John Tangney suggested that "holidays over the Christmas and New Year period" could be ruined.

"The problem now will be that very, very few seats will be left on other carriers over Christmas period," he explained.

Mr Tangney added that those seats that are left will be in the premium cabins, meaning those who do manage to secure alternative transport will have to pay extra.

The expert predicted that BA could even shut down its entire operations during the strike, which would throw the plans of "millions of people into chaos".

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.

Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
