Abu Dhabi Yacht Show taking place at Yas Marina
Dec 16th, 2009
Yas Marina has been announced as the scene for the second edition of the Abu Dhabi Yacht Show.Luxury yacht charter customers may have already caught a glimpse of the new venue, as it was the backdrop for the first ever Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on the 2009 Formula One calendar.
However, it will now be the location for the Middle East's only superyacht exhibition, which runs for three days from February 25th next year.
Franck Dailles, group director of organisers Informa Yacht Group, believes that both exhibitors and guests will be impressed by the facilities on offer.
He said: "Luxury yacht owners who came to watch the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix recently can attest to the world-class berthing facilities of Yas Marina and we expect first-time exhibitors and guests to be similarly impressed.
"Ideally suited to accommodate super and mega yachts, Yas Marina likewise boasts striking aesthetics, first-rate support services and a luxurious cosmopolitan vibe surrounding the bigger Yas Island development."
Mr Dailles added that the venue will also have no problems catering for and supporting the expected rise in exhibitors and yacht entries to the show.
Sebastian Vettel triumphed in the 2009 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on November 1st, with Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber and world champion Jenson Button taking the other two podium positions.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
