Luxury yacht charter destination to host racing event
Dec 17th, 2009
Those heading to Antigua on a luxury yacht charter in January may get to see the Caribbean leg of a prestigious competition. The Superyacht Cup Antigua has been a regular December fixture since 2006, but will be held from January 27th to 30th next year due to requests from participating captains and owners.
Running over four days, the event has a full programme of social activities, meaning those in attendance will never be bored, even if they happen to lose interest in the three days of race action.
Much of the action takes place out of Nelson's Dockyard on the tropical Caribbean island, where guests can enjoy the local hospitality and renowned Superyacht Cup parties.
The latest entrants to the competition are two "spectacular J-Class yachts" - Hanuman and Ranger.
While the former - a replica of the historic Endeavour II - was launched by Dykstra and Partners in March this year, the new generation Ranger was launched by Danish Yachts in 2003.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
