Luxury Crewed Yacht Charter Cats at Cannes Boat Show

Cannes International Yacht and Boat Show 2010 opened its 33rd season on Wednesday 8th September, exhibiting over 6 days, some of the biggest names in superyachts from 25 countries around the world.

Exhibited for the first time, the worldwide premiere of Ipharra, is one of Dream Marines’ latest portfolio additions. The first double deck sailing catamaran in the world and also the second biggest sloop rigged catamaran, accommodates up to 12 guests and 4/5 crew, and is to be featured once more at the Monaco Boat Show, 22nd - 25th September 2010.

Along side Ipharra is the 70ft Sunreef Power, Damrak, an 8 berth, 4 cabin motor catamaran with ondeck Jacuzzi, also in Dream Marines portfolio.

Both vessels are exclusively available for chartering the Caribbean after their appearances at the Cannes and Monaco shows.

Established as an international event, most exhibitors present were from French, Italian, British, Spanish and German shipyards, including  Azimut, Benetti, Baglietto, Beneteau, Cantieri di Pisa, Ferretti Group, Jeanneau, Peri Yachts, Pershing, Princess, Riva, Rodriguez Group, Sanlorenzo, Sunseeker, Heesen Yachts, and new exhibitors from the United States, Russia, the Arab Emirates, Asia and Turkey.

Over 500 boats were on water at Cannes Vieux Port, Espace Riviera and Port Pierre Canto marinas, of which 180 were new models, 180 custom to superyachts, i.e. over 65 foot to 100 foot and longer.

Show highlights included the exclusively showcased new “Luxury Tenders” category of high-end models and a “Performance” area, dedicated to speedboats. Silent PV solar panel sailing and “Bateau Bleu” – environmentally friendly boats with reduced carbon emission, hybrid engines were also featured amongst the many superyachts being launched.
