Yacht skipper praised for dramatic rescue of 12

A yacht skipper has been credited with helping to save the lives of 12 divers who got into trouble off the coast of Devon. The Dutch Angel yacht was the first to notice a red distress flare set off by the ten divers and two crew members of a chartered 40-foot boat, which capsized and sank over the weekend.
Not only did the yacht's skipper and his crew alert the local Brixham Coastguard, but they also decided to go to the aid of the stricken divers themselves, the South Devon Herald Express reported.
Speaking to the local paper about the yacht captain, coastguard Les Jenkin said: "It was very lucky the yacht spotted the flare, secured the raft and got the guys out of the water.
"He did a brilliant job. We understand he had his young son with him on board so he dealt with it really well. We can't praise him enough for his actions."
At the same time, it has also been reported that a lifeboat had to be launched from Peel on the Isle of Man to rescue the crew of the yacht 'Jetstream', which got into trouble just a few miles from shore.

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
