Turkey offers 'perfect' yacht charters
Jul 28th, 2009
Anyone who is looking for an idyllic summer break may wish to consider a yacht charter to Turkey.
That is according to Richard Johnson, writing for the Daily Mail, who spent a week aboard the Grandi 1 luxury yacht on Turkey's Aegean Riviera.
The area offers intimate, 'secluded bays' as well as being in close proximity to the Greek islands and the historical offerings of Bodrum harbour, notes the journalist.
He wrote in the newspaper: "Why is sailing so satisfying, so calming, yet so invigorating?
"I lie on the cushioned stern looking up at the white canvas straining against the blue of the sky, hearing the soft splash as the bow dips into the water, and I think this must be perfect happiness."
The Turkish Riviera is also known as the Turquoise coast due to its beautiful seas, warm climates and hundreds of miles of coastline featuring many areas of outstanding natural beauty.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
