Jul 31st, 2009
The Royal Yachting Association's third annual Sailability Multi Class Regatta will be the biggest yet.Taking place on August 14th to the 16th 60 boats and 80 sailors are due to take part in the competition, which is being held at Rutland Water.
The RYA's Sailability programme has enabled more than 20,000 sailors with disabilities to take to the water and compete on an even keel with others.
RYA Olympic Manager Stephen Park will be at the event alongside Geoff Holt, who was the first sailor with a disability to sail solo around Britain.
Val Millward, a returning competitor to the regatta, told the RYA: "The multi-class regatta is such a wonderful event bringing together so many disabled sailors and a variety of different boats; it's quite a spectacle out on the water.
"The event is always very competitive and everyone wants to do their best. I can't wait to get out on the water again as this year I will be sailing a Challenger."

"I would recommend Dream Marine to others. Everyone was easygoing and helpful. I didn’t mind who I talked to. It was all good. Shame having to come back to London afterwards.
Come on Chris… when’s the next one?"
