Yachts remain focus of Cannes Film Festival fun

Yachts have led the focus of the Cannes Film Festival for another day.

Hollywood movie star Hayden Panettiere andd Channel 4 presenter Steve Jones have been pictured on board the yacht of David Furnish, the partner of Elton John.

Panettiere and Jones appear to be dating, with pictures taken of them on board the yacht showing them to be getting increasingly close.

Yesterday, fellow actress Eva Herzigova revealed that she preferred staying on yachts while at the world-famous film festival as it was a great opportunity to get some privacy.

David Furnish is not the only A-lister to have a yacht moored of the coast of Cannes for the event, with Italian fashion designer Roberto Cavalli playing host to a number of glamorous parties on board his boat.

David Gritten, an arts writer for the Daily Telegraph, suggested that all events at Cannes that require glamour involve a yacht, claiming that the signing ceremony for a production agreement turned into a "glamorous, showbiz razzmatazz" thanks to it taking place at a champagne filled boat party.
