Sydney Boat Show heralded a successThe 2009 Sydney international Boat Show has been dubbed a success after large numbers of visitor attended the event.

Today is the final day of the show which saw more than 250 exhibitors entice buyers at Cockle Bay Mariner, Sydney.

According to marinebusinessnews.com visitor numbers have been excellent with 10,855 attending of Friday, which represents a rise of 243 on 2008.

David Heyes from BRP Evinrude said: "Melbourne was great and this show seems to be heading the same way.

"From the attitude of the people at the show so far, I think we can expect strong sales following Sydney."

It is now a busy period in the yacht show calendar with the glamorous Monaco Yacht Show set to start on September 23rd.

Monaco, which is one of the most popular and exclusive areas for those chartering yachts, claims to be featuring 100 of the world's best 82 to 262 foot yachts.
