Archdeacon takes on round-the-world yacht challenge

The Archdeacon of Wiltshire is preparing to take part in a round the world yacht race for charity.John Wraw has been training for the past three weeks to take his place among an 18-strong crew which will take on the mammoth task.
Speaking to the Wiltshire Times & Chippingham News the church officiary revealed that his current task is to learn the theory of how to navigate the vessel before embarking.
"The last two weeks we sailed around the Isle of Wight and also down the Solent and in the English Channel to get used to sailing. It was alright however some days I felt quite queasy- my sea legs aren't brilliant," he added.
Archdeacon Wraw is taking part in the grueling event to raise money for the Wiltshire Young Carers.
The Clipper Round the World Yacht Race 2009/10 begins on the Humber on September 13th and will the fleet take in 35,000 miles of ocean racing.
